New Field for Mobile Websites

In tune with our recent provision of a “mobile” version of the Come On Aussie Australian website directory, we’ve added a new field to the submission / edit form to allow you to also submit the URL for your mobile website.

That’s ONLY IF you have a separate/different URL for your mobile site!

For example, these URLs are acceptable:

  • http://mobile.yoursite.com/ or
  • http://yoursite.com/mobile or
  • http://m.yoursite.com/
However, if your mobile URL is the SAME AS your “normal” desktop one… then please do NOT add anything in this field.

The idea here is that your mobile link (if you have one) will be:

  • Shown separately in our “desktop” directory
(which will help search engines discover your separate mobile link faster), and
  • Integrated into the link to your site in our mobile version
(sending mobile visitors directly to the right website)

It’s all about making the experience a little better for the visitors to Come On Aussie, and hopefully growing this into a new “directory” we can promote directly to mobile users 🙂

Cheers for now

P.S. If you’ve been wondering about how all this mobile stuff might apply to your business?

Then can I suggest you check out the article I wrote asking…
